Introduction

Puneसंवाद tries to demystify civic issues for ordinary citizens. This we do through simplifying scientific research and looking at problems through a real world point of view. Our thrust is on carrying capacities. There can be no development without clean air, pure water & uncontaminated soil.

Puneसंवाद strives to get everybody in India their basic rights by making them aware about their immediate environment & dependence on natural capital.

Since our inception in August 2023, we have participated in 20+ number of Public Hearings, we have had 100+ number of meetings with public officials, we have filed 25+ number of RTI Applications, we have engaged 1000000+ number of people in public outreach campaigns including over social media, and we have instituted 10+ number of litigation, which has led to over 1000+ number of ancient trees of Pune being saved. Disability rights upheld. Indian road Congress guidelines being recognised as statutory. GPS & Geotagging of trees along with their census made mandatory. New plantations worth over 10000 trees made. Over 100 old growth trees successfully transplanted. Forest lands saved & water resources conserved. Over 5000 people have been engaged in signature campaigns and over 36000 people across 550 residential communities have been met by our volunteers personally.

We uphold that without clean air, pure water and zero garbage at the front & centre of the cities concern, no development model is worth it. We work to put our environment and the cities sustainability as the first priority of our movements. We will do whatever it takes to make Pune a sustainable city.
